Clone assets

Cloning a Tenovos asset creates an exact copy of its content and metadata, but without its relationships or versions. Clones are not added to any collections or storyboards associated with the original asset.

To clone an asset, you need the Clone Asset role privilege and the Upload and Download permissions for that asset. If the Clone Asset option is unavailable, you may lack the necessary privileges or permissions.

To clone an asset:

  1. Locate the asset, open its preview context menu, and click Clone Asset.
    If you are viewing its Asset Details, click Clone Asset.

  2. At the prompt, click Clone to confirm. The cloned asset is added to the Content gallery.
    If you are in the original asset's Asset Details, the cloned asset will appear in its Duplicate Files tab.
