Delete assets
You can delete individual and multiple assets, as long as you have the necessary permissions. Deleted assets are moved to the Recycle Bin and are no longer accessible in the Content gallery.
Deleting an asset in Tenovos is a "soft delete," meaning the asset is marked for removal and moved to the administrative Recycle Bin. Administrators can then review the deleted assets and either restore them to the Content gallery or permanently delete them.
You can mark assets for deletion in the Content gallery, Asset Details, Collections, Searches, and the Cart. If the delete option is unavailable, it means you do not have the required permissions for one or more selected assets.
Delete a single asset
You can delete assets from Tenovos if you have the necessary permissions. When deleted, assets are moved to the Recycle Bin and are no longer accessible in the Content gallery.
To delete a single asset:
- Locate the asset, open its context menu, and click Delete Asset. If you are viewing its Asset Details, click Delete.
NOTE: If the delete option is not available, you do not have the required permissions. - At the confirmation prompt, click Delete. The asset is moved to the Recycle Bin and is no longer accessible in the Content gallery.
Admins can restore the asset to the Content gallery or permanently delete it. For more information, see the Recycle Bin guide.
Delete multiple assets
If you need to delete multiple assets at once, you can do so from various locations within Tenovos.
To delete multiple assets:
- In the Content gallery, Collections, Search Results, or the Cart, select the assets to delete.
- Open the task bar context menu and click Delete Assets. NOTE: If the delete option is not available, you do not have the required permissions for one or more of the selected assets.
- At the confirmation prompt, click Delete. The assets are moved to the Recycle Bin and are no longer accessible in the Content gallery.
Admins can restore the assets to the Content gallery or permanently delete them. For more information, see the Recycle Bin guide.
