Transformations
Transformations allows you to quickly create new assets in a pre-defined format from original assets. The options available to you depend on your permissions and system configuration. Some examples are the ability to transform a variety of file types to "High Res JPEG," "Low Res JPEG," and "High Res MP4."
When working with large groups of assets, you may occasionally need to send the original asset instead of—or along with—other transformations. This can be done via the transformations option as noted in Share an original asset via the transformations page.
The Transformations option is available in the Content gallery, the Cart, and in Asset Details.
Get Transformations screen. Assets are grouped by "Other," "Image" and "Video":

Create transformations
You can transform single assets via Asset Details or multiple assets simultaneously via the Content gallery or the Cart. The assets must be eligible for transformation. If you select an asset that is ineligible for transformation—generally due to your permissions—the Transformations option will not be available.
💡 Tip:
If you are working with a large number of assets, consider adding them to the Cart and then completing the transformation process from that page.
To create transformations:
-
Select the asset(s).
- For a single asset, open its Asset Details and click Transformations.
- For multiple assets, select them in the Content gallery or the Cart. Then in the page task bar, click Transformations.
The Get Transformations screen appears, with a list of the selected assets organized by Other, Image, and Video.
The top of each asset type section displays the total number of assets, their cumulative file size, and their transformation options. Expanding a section displays additional details including a preview of each asset, its file name, and its file size.

NOTE:
- In the Get Transformations screen, asset types are grouped by Other, Image, and Video, but individual Tenovos configurations may vary.
- If the Transformations option is not available, you do not have the required permissions for one or more of the selected assets.
-
Select the transformations to apply. When you expand a group section, all assets are selected by default. You can apply transformations to all assets in a group and also apply additional transformations to individual assets.
- To apply transformations to all assets in an asset type group, select one or more transformation options from the section header.
- To apply transformations to an individual asset, expand its group section, locate the asset, click its Edit button, and select one or more transformations.
NOTE: Asset types that do not have any applicable transformations available display only the Original Asset transformation. This option allows you to share original assets via email.
Each asset displays the total number of transformations applied to it. To view an asset's selected transformations, click its Edit button.
