Product Update

Production: February 10, 2025​

This Product Update provides a summary of changes and enhancements to the existing application that impact all customers. When applicable, it includes changes to functionality that were made to resolve customer-specific issues and that apply to all Tenovos users.

Unless otherwise stated, the availability of each update is as follows:

Asset Details Page​

Availability: All Enterprise DAM customers

A new configuration called 'Asset Details Page Background Color' has been added to the configurations page. This configuration allows permissioned users to choose the color of the background behind the asset on the asset details page, providing greater customization options. The chosen color picker value will be implemented for all users in the system. This background color is only cosmetic and will not affect the background color of any proxy previews. By default, the background color will be dark gray.

Collections​

Availability: All Enterprise DAM customers

  • A new auto-assign collection preview feature has been implemented to enhance the visual experience when creating and managing collections. When a collection is created during asset upload or from the gallery view while selecting multiple assets and using the 'Manage Collections' option, the system will automatically set the collection preview to the most recently uploaded image asset in the selection of assets. Auto-assignment of the collection preview will only happen once per collection and will not overwrite a manually selected preview.
  • The 25 MB file size limit on collection previews has been removed. There is now no limit on the size of the image file that can be used as a collection preview.

Enhancements and Quality Improvements​

  • Resolved an issue where users were able to added assets to a collection after the collection limit has been met.

  • Resolved an issue where download request form logic was not applying correctly to assets with multiple security templates.

  • Resolved an issue where emails in new user accounts were passing validation regardless of case-sensitivity, allowing users to create multiple accounts with the same email.

  • Resolved an issue where users would see the incorrect favicon when refreshing the page.

  • Resolved an issue where assets with an apostrophe in the file name would not generate previews.

  • Resolved an issue where collection priority was not being applied correctly on the home page. Collections will show on the home page in collection priority descending order. For example, a collection with priority of 9 will show before a collection with priority of 7.

  • Resolved an issue where asset clone actions would fail to create a new asset.

  • Resolved an issue where the technical metadata object would not return data for certain assets when using the GET /asset/{id} endpoint in API version 1 and 1.5.

  • Resolved an issue where, when performing a metadata template change via bulk edit, users would be prompted to fill out required metadata fields that were already populated on the previous metadata template.
