Sensitive Metadata Attributes
A new Sensitive property allows administrative users to flag a metadata attribute as sensitive and blur or hide its values for unauthorized users. This supports use cases where customers have Personally Identifiable Information (PII), financial, or sensitive program and product information in their asset metadata.
Sensitive metadata attributes are enabled at the asset level and are controlled by security templates. Only user groups assigned to a security template and granted the Sensitive Data permission will see the sensitive metadata attribute values.
Metadata attributes with the Sensitive property enabled:
-
Blur the on-screen values when displayed to unauthorized users. Users with the Sensitive Data permission can unblur the values.
-
Are not included in metadata exported by unauthorized users.
-
Are included in metadata exported by users with Sensitive Data permission. In the exported file, the sensitive metadata attributes are color coded for easy identification.
-
Are not exposed in network calls to unauthorized users.
If a metadata attribute is both Sensitive and Required, there are system restrictions that may affect users. If the attribute does not have a default value assigned and the attribute is Required, users without permission to sensitive attribute data will not be able to edit or upload assets. (This does not apply to Bulk Operations.)
If you assign the Sensitive property to a metadata attribute in your system and you have integrations with Tenovos, ensure that your API user account is granted Sensitive Data permission on security templates. Failure to do so may result in values for sensitive attributes not being returned via the Tenovos API as the user will not have the required permissions.
Subtractive Search Filters
Filters now support the ability to Exclude an attribute value from search results. When you exclude a value, all your search terms are inclusive, but assets with the attribute value you've selected for exclusion will not be included in search results.
-
Mousing over an attribute value's asset count displays the option to Exclude it.
-
To clear the exclusion, hover over the asset count and click its Include option.
-
Excluded values display a red strikethrough line.
-
You can exclude one value per attribute.
The ability to exclude an attribute value from search results is also available for Saved Searches.
Search by Dominant Color
We've enhanced our existing AI capabilities to include searching for assets based on the dominant color in the asset. A new Filters menu item called Dominant Color allows users to search for assets based on dominant color. The filter includes color names and a swatch for each color.
To alter where the Dominant Color filter menu item appears (or if it appears at all), please submit a configuration request ticket to the Tenovos Customer Success team.
Please allow up to two weeks for reprocessing existing assets before they are included in the Dominant Color filter results. Assets ingested after this deployment will immediately be included in the new filter.
Custom Branding and Terminology
Tenovos administrative users can now customize branding and terminology via the Tenovos Admin UI. Administrative users with the Configuration Management role privilege can use Admin > Configurations to upload custom logos, banners, or a fav icon, and select a custom color for hyperlinks and action buttons. They can also rename menu items including Content, Templates, Collections, and Story Boards.
Additional configuration options for filtering and sorting, SSO, localization languages, and more are coming soon!
Custom Navigation and Views
Tenovos administrative users can now customize navigation and how content is displayed. Administrative users with the Configuration Management role privilege can use Admin > Configurations > Page Layout to:
- Display collections on the Home page. Takes effect immediately. Currently logged in users must refresh their browsers.
- Set the default landing page. Takes effect immediately for new user accounts. Existing users must clear their browser cache for the admin setting to take effect. Note that users can override this default in their User Preferences > General page.
- Set the default Content gallery view as List, Grid, or Masonry. Takes effect immediately for new user accounts. For existing users, Tenovos remembers the Content gallery view they last used and will continue using it until their cache is cleared, regardless of the Admin setting.
Content Admin Changes
Administrative content management options have moved from Admin > Configurations to the Admin > Content tab. This includes Tiles, Asset Badges, Request Inbox, Getty Images, External Sources, and Publishing. They join the features already available in Admin > Content, including Recycle Bin, External Shares, Transformations, and Locked Assets.
Audio File Player
The Asset Details page now includes audio player support for WAV, MPEG, AIFF, and all other audio file types.
Not all web browsers support all audio formats. If your browser does not support playing a specific audio format, Tenovos will display an error message indicating this.
Delete and Identify User Groups
Administrative users with the User Management role privilege can now delete user groups in Admin > Security > Groups. Deleting a user group will immediately update user accounts and security templates.
To quickly identify user accounts which do not have a group assigned, administrators can now sort the User table on the Admin > Security > Users tab by the count of groups assigned to individual users.
For users who are assigned to a single user group, deleting that group will eliminate access to all assets by those users.
Delete Multiple Collections
We've added the ability to delete multiple collections at once from the Collections page. Users must have permission to delete collections based on the security templates applied to the collections.
The maximum number of collections that can be deleted at once is 50.
Metadata Tooltips
Tooltip support for metadata attributes has been added to the upload screen for mobile devices.
Additionally, by customer request, metadata tooltips are now displayed on the Asset Details page when viewing metadata. This is in addition to being displayed on every screen where metadata can be entered or edited.
You supply tooltip text when you create or edit a Text attribute, Date attribute, or Dropdown attribute.
Tenovos REST API v2 Design
You may have noticed Tenovos has released an early preview of API v2 documentation! These documents are also available on the Tenovos Developer Portal. Several new updates were added recently which include endpoint designs for Webhooks, Triggers, Rights Management, Relationships and more. An early preview of Webhook documentation can be found here, to include a listing of specific event types.
Please provide feedback on the v2.0 changes via the Tenovos Ideas Portal.
Version 2.0 of the API will introduce breaking changes.
Documentation and support for all v1.x endpoints will continue, with an anticipated end-of-life in July 2025.
